Well, looks the house of cards is truly toppling down. And whether you believe the doom and gloom or not, I think everyone is feeling at least a twinge or two of concern and stress over this whole economic mess. These are indeed historical times that we are witnessing. I myself have been trying to avoid the news for the last several months what with carrying precious cargo and all. Mostly because the news this year, and the way it is delivered, is enough to make one begin to hyperventilate. But this week, somber news is the unavoidable topic of discussion everywhere and everything that should have changed long ago seems to finally be giving America one big fat wake up call. It is definitely time to batten down the hatches because it’s clear to me that we are going to see some changes in our society that have not been seen in decades. Hopefully, you are of the rare bunch that has lived simply, below your means, and stayed free of the glut of consumerism and materialism that is a large part of where things have ended up. If not, I am sure you are catching on quick! And all of us, regardless of where we are at with our financial patterns, are probably doing some self-evaluation right now about what can and should be changed in our own lives. News articles and blog coverage on these hot topics abound, but here are a few I found interesting:
